Normand from Far and Away Adventures, a travel company known for organizing trips to unique and remote destinations, recently joined Michael McLaren on 2GB Afternoons. For those unfamiliar, 2GB Afternoons is a popular Australian radio show that dives into a range of topics, from current events to travel insights, hosted by Michael McLaren on Sydney’s 2GB station.
In his chat with McLaren, Normand described the two-night journey aboard the Silver Supporter, the cargo ship that services Pitcairn. He shared the ins and outs of traveling by cargo vessel, interacting with locals onboard, and observing the impressive logistics that keep one of the most remote communities on earth connected and supplied.
He also highlighted Pitcairn’s designation as an International Dark Sky Sanctuary, where the night sky is exceptionally clear, making for unforgettable stargazing.
